Luxury Self Catering Accommodation
Thisle Lodge was our home for almost two years, whilst we were awaiting the completion of our new residential lodge. Now that we have moved into our lovely new home, Thistle Lodge has become our Premier Let.
Thistle Lodge is a two storey building, constructed from Scandinavian Pine logs. Exclusive features include, Optimizer Energy Plus ElectricaL Heating System, 60% Energy Efficient, a fully enclosed double glazed entrance porch and conservatory/observatory which provides a stunning breakfast room with views of the Loch and surrounding mountains. Set out to the front of this view point is a large bird table, not only a favourite visiting place for our feathered friends but also a favourite place for our family of resident Pine Martens. There have been regular daily visits by the adults and babies. Sometimes as early as 9:10 am and 3:50 pm. But they are most active from 6:30 pm onwards. Thistle Lodge is complimented with a fully fitted bathroom with power shower over bath, a full sized, fully fitted kitchen with fridge/ freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, gas cooker/ oven, microwave and bread maker. The living area is tastefully furnished with a 5 seater teracotta suite with reclining chair, 32" flat screen television with Sky Free View/ DVDplayer and mini hi fi.
All beds are made up prior to arrival and each guest is supplied with one bath towel and one hand towel. Extra towels can be hired at an additional cost.
Cot/Cot Bedding & High Chair are available on request at £20:00 Per week.
Thistle lodge may sleep 4 + 1 (numbers must never exceed 5) Z Bed & Bedding supplied a surcharge of £100:00 per week or £15:00 per night for a short stay to be confirmed on confirmation of the reservation.
We are very dog and pet friendly so your pet is welcome to come along on hoiday with you, a small fee of £20:00 per week for each dog is charged. All we ask is that he/she is kept on a lead whilst on site and in the vacinity of the farm and must never be left unattended in the lodge
The first floor comprises of one double room and one twin room, sleeping upto four persons, (5 with Z Bed to be arranged). The twin bedroom also has a tv/dvd player. Double bedroom has a wall mounted hair dryer.
Externaly there is a large decked area for enjoying the outdoors, ideally suited for BBQ,s or just sipping your dram whilst enjoying the scenery.
Other facilities include private parking and communial laundry comprising of a industrial coin operated washing machine and tumble dryer.
New for October 2010, Purpose Built Loch Side Access a minutes walk from your lodge.
Thistle Lodge is Electric by Meter Reading. Read on your arrival and on your departure.
Groceries can be ordered for delivery to your lodge from www.sevenheadsstore.co.uk . Please order at least 5 days prior to your arrival informing the shop of the name of your lodge and that you are staying at The Great Glen Lodges, Kilfinnan.
