(powered by lovetoescape for holiday accommodation )
The Great Glen Lodges are family owned and offer high quality self-catering accommodation in the Highlands of Scotland. The Lodges are set in a spectacular scenic location within the Great Glen and Lochaber, the centre for outdoor activities in the United Kingdom. Nestling between Fort William and Fort Augustus, within the huge fault line of the Great Glen, this small group of south facing timber lodges all offer superb panoramic views of Loch Lochy and the mountains beyond, now with purpose built Loch Side Access. We pride ourselves in providing quaility self-catering accommodation and service to meet the requirements of our guests, many of whom return time after time. We are very dog and pet friendly, all we ask is that your pet is kept on a lead whilst on site and in the vacinity of the farm and must never be left in the lodge unattended.
To the rear Ben Tee, one of the many Mountains in the area, just under 3000ft rises steeply and is ideal for climbing and walking. The Great Glen Way long distance trail passes the entrance to the lodges and is popular with cyclists, walkers and mountaineers.
The area is also a Mecca for anglers with free fishing available on Loch Lochy which is only a minutes walk from the lodges. The use of a fast Fishing Cruiser with a Skipper is available on request at an extra cost. Permits for Salmon and Trout fishing can also be obtained for surrounding rivers and lochs. Lochaber's main water sports centre is only 3 miles away, providing a swimming pool, bar and restaurant. The Great Glen Lodges, Kilfinnan, is also a good central base for exploring the majestic scenery and many historic castles and monuments, which lie along the Great Glen from Inverness to Fort William.
Horse riding and golf are available at Fort Augustus, where cruises on the Caledonian Canal can also be enjoyed. In the winter period Sking and snowboarding can be enjoyed on Lochaber's Ski resort at Aonach Mor.
The Great Glen Lodges provide the "Perfect" Location from which to explore the Scottish Highlands, to participate in the many adventure activities available in the area or just chill and relax in the comfort of your lodge whilst soaking up the magnificant scenery
